Kadeer Porter is a dynamic Project Manager and Recruiter at WME, leveraging 15 years of experience in sports, education, and creative industries. As a first-generation college graduate, Kadeer combined a passion for martial arts with business acumen, earning his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a focus on the cognitive impact of martial arts and ultimately earning a master’s degree in Global Sports Business from Rutgers University. During his time in the program, he worked with legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather and his team to establish the inaugural Mayweather Boxing and Fitness facility in New Jersey, showcasing a unique blend of strategic vision and operational expertise.
Kadeer began his career at the Barack Obama Green Charter High School in Plainfield, NJ, serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chief School Administrator. In this role, he acted as the primary point of contact between the school and the Department of Education. He also created, led, and managed their Bridge Program, forging relationships with local institutions including Union County Community College, Kean University, and William Paterson University. Through this program, he enabled Juniors and Seniors to earn college credits, laying the foundation for their academic and professional success.
After receiving his master’s degree, Kadeer delved into talent acquisition, joining On Location, a prominent company under the Endeavor umbrella. In this role, he led recruitment efforts for Anthony Travel, a subdivision of On Location specializing in managing travel logistics for sports organizations, collegiate athletic programs, and major sporting events. He supported hiring for over 100 NCAA teams across athletic and campus travel divisions. Kadeer also played a key role in hiring and building teams for major organizations such as TKO, Professional Bull Riders, and the Olympics. His ability to connect with people on a personal level, backed by profound emotional intelligence, became a cornerstone of his success as a Corporate Recruiter within the industry.
This breadth of experience set the stage for his remarkable career, which now includes supporting WME Fashion and the Harry Walker Agency, WME's prestigious speakers division. In addition, Kadeer leads Early Career initiatives across various departments within WME, including Music, TV & Film, Literary, Non-Scripted, Comedy, Digital, Theatre, Branding, Sports, and Speakers.
His leadership mentality was instrumental in transforming WME's internship program, which, under his guidance and collaboration with his team, received national recognition in 2024 for the first time in history. The program earned accolades such as Vault's "Innovation Award" and placements in the Top 150 Internship Programs for training, career development, and networking opportunities.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Kadeer serves as a board member for the employer resource group, Endeavor Black Collective. In this role, he focuses on recruitment and retention strategies to promote a positive organizational community and culture. He also acts as the primary point of contact between WME Early Careers and the NFL Player Care Foundation, assisting retired players in exploring opportunities within the sports, fashion, and entertainment sectors off the field.
Kadeer’s contributions extend beyond his professional responsibilities. In January 2024, he co-authored the book Win the Job & Thrive in a Multigenerational Workplace, which ranked among the top 3 books on Amazon. This achievement reflects his dedication to empowering others and sharing actionable insights for professional success.
